Susan had gotten lost... again.
This was starting to frusterate her to no end. She wasnt the type of person who liked any feelings of not being in control, and ever since she'd come to this horrible place, she'd had nothing but chaos.
First she got trapped in a maze that seemed to be alive, and then when she finally found a friend she'd lost him. Sebastian had been missing every since they went exploring together, and now she spent night and day looking for him...
On this particular day, she explored the gardens. Every time she went anywhere it was a new sight. Even though she'd specifically placed markers and started keeping a journal to keep track of where she'd searched, it seemed the world around her kept changeing, just like Alice in wonderland.
It was enough to drive anyone insane.
Walking through the rose garden, Susan inhaled the scent, pausing to admire a blooming red flower. She'd always been fond of roses. Reaching out to touch it, she had no idea that nearby someone approached...

Continuous wind seemed to surround the Castle. For the last few days, no one could escape the elements. It was almost as if the goddess herself was trying to mix things up. The grounds had become dull, lackluster, all around boring. Casidy was the first to arrive, after being killed by a train. She wasn't exactly hit. Instead the train stopped, but derailed and showered her in flames. They say burning alive is one of the worst ways to die. Casidy didn't find it that bad. She was sure that she had caused some worse deaths than the one she received. Cas felt like she was clawing out of her skin. There was nothing to do at the castle. She had once tried to escape, finding it almost unbearable to sit and do nothing. At that time, she had found a boy who fallowed her around. He praised her and spouted poetry, but figured that he was weak. She almost pitied him. However, he seemed to be showing his powerful side, and she admired that. It seemed that she couldn't get away from him, until now. And now she was quite bored. Even though she had an aversion to people people, they did entertain her. Casidy couldn't believe that she was now looking for a person to entertain her. Walking into the garden, Casidy acknowledged that her entertainment was present. She had never met this girl, but heard about her. She was the one who was friends with Sabastian, or The Wimpyboy as she liked to call him. Her smile proved genuine as she moved into view. This could be entertaining, she was sure. "Hello," she started casually, "I don't think we have met. I'm Casidy.. and you are?"

Susan jumped and let out a semi scream, semi shout. She turned and her hand whapped against the rose, making it bob as if it silently laughed at her. She stared wide-eyed at the girl who had just spoken to her before she shook her head as if to clear her mind.
"Hello." She said rather quickly, "Sorry you just... startled me." Susan looked the girl over. She really wasnt like anyone she'd met before, dead or alive, and something about her instantly made Susan think they came from total opposite perspectives...
Clearing her throat, Susan tried to remain dignified even though she was in a place as insane as a gorey haunted house walk through thingy. (She hated those. Only ever went through one and it was scarey enough to keep her out of them forever.)
"I'm Susan." She said, holding her hand out and expecting a handshake from the redhead who stood before her...

Casidy smiled to the girl. She was startled and that was a good thing. It was always good to catch someone off guard. She knew that if one was underestimated, they could sneak up and surprise. That is what she did with Chuck, taking his gang from under him. But now she had a new goal. Things were different this morning when she woke up. She knew what she had to do. It wasn't clear weather the idea came from her own mind, or from the influence of the Angel. Either way, she was sure she was right. If one wasn't confident, they would never succeed. "I didn't mean to startle you," she lied very convincingly. Cas was always better at lying than telling the truth. "I was the first one here, or so I was told, so I was just trying to meet everyone." She smiled once more. "So, how did you die?" she asked, genuinely interested. Casidy's red hair was tied in a pony tale, making her look younger and nicer than she was. She was wearing a plain black T-shirt and a pair of warn dark jeans. Her feet were comfortable in her black converses and she had on a gray zip-up hoodie. She never really looked dressed up, but what did one expect from someone who lived on the streets and who was in a gang. The one thing that Cas did know about, however, was leading. She always did what was right for the gang, even if people didn't think it was correct. Casidy knew what she was doing. And she knew how to judge people. This girl looked clumsy but well put together. She looked naturally blond, and intelligent. It was clear that she was independent and could possibly be older than Cas, but she also suspected that she didn't have the experience that she, herself, had. The redhead was far older than her years. And that would be used to her advantage.

Tucking her hair behind her ear, Susan shivered and wrapped her arms around herself. The wind that blew suddenly made her cold to the bone and she didnt know why. Her thin cream colored sweater just wasnt keeping the cold out, and she instantly longed to get back to the castle for a nice long bath, her nerves were fried (something that seemed to happen to her more and more those days.)
When the question came, Susans eyes grew wide with surprise and fear and she tensed. Looking much like a dear in headlights she shiften uncomfortably and again shook her head. She hated the fact that she never got away from death. When she was alive she never thought about it. Not the constant reminder could only be compared to someone who was alive and constantly being reminded they had cancer.
"Oh I um," She stuttered, her eyes shifting to the ground between them and her arms wrapping tighter around herself, "I was in a car accident."
She lied too, but mostly because she didnt want to face the truth of her death...
It had been too tramatic.

Casidy could tell that the girl had never coped with her death. A few of the people here were like that and Cas couldn't understand why. Since her young teens, Casidy knew that death would be the only end to the tragic story of her life. She had never believed in happily ever after, and knew that people died. It didn't matter what you did with your life, or how you lived it, death was inevitable. So she did what she wanted to make her life better so that her death wouldn't be such a disappointment. She joined a gang so that she could get out of her house. She castrated her gang leader because he was making her do things she didn't want to do, and then she ran the gang to get what she wanted. Even though Casidy wasn't educated like others, she was intelligent and could learn quickly from others. She observed and then became really good at what she did. Death was simply normal and there was nothing anyone could do to stop it. Her theory was later proven when Death, himself told her this. He ruled from afar and he picked when you go. Casidy looked at the girl and instantly knew that her words were a lie. Whatever the reason for the lie, Cas didn't care. She simply nodded her understanding. "I was hit by a train. It sucks doesn't it? Dying, i mean. But we might as well make the best of it. Otherwise we will be searching for ourselves in this darkness forever. I met the other people and have figured out that we should stop avoiding eachother. This is a small island and maybe together we could create a unified people. I'm sure you understand. There is no point for us all to be wandering around aimlessly." There was no point. It was just boring and useless.

Susan listened intently but rocked a little on her heels, her hands rubbed at her arms and she just couldnt hold still. Everything said to her made her uncomfortable. It seemed Casidy accepted her fate and her death. Susan simply could not. But even so, she didnt want to be lonely anymore.
Nodding she looked back up at Casidy, "Yeah. Well. It would be nice to be around normal people and stop talking to myself all the time. I havnt seen anyone else in days."

Casidy nodded her understanding before turning her back on Susan. Casidy was sure that this girl wouldn't be a danger to her. She moved towards a bench before sitting down gracefully and paying attention to the blond once more. She understood the need to be around people, even though she would rather be by herself most of the time. That would have to change, though. Casidy talked to the Angel of Death. He would not compromise in anything. But he agreed to bring more people, some to fill up the castle and some to work in it. There would be 10 slaves this week. Casidy didn't question him, but wondered why she was being told this information. She didn't know if she was supposed to tell other people or not. "I think we should have a meeting. I'll arrange it since I have now met everyone. Oh.. and if you see people randomly walking around.. who wont talk to you but will take your orders, they are the staff or slaves, as the Angel says. They are mute and here to do what we want.." She decided it would be best to tell this girl. She would say the rest at the meeting. She hoped that everyone came, or else things would have to change. "Will you be there?" she asked.

Slaves? Was she serious? Didnt we have a revolution to get rid of that?
Susan didnt answer right away because she was thinking this, but when she realized she'd been asked a question she nodded, "Yeah. Yeah I will. You've met everyone? You didnt perchance see a guy by the name of Sabastian did you? I've been looking for him and..."
And what? She didnt know. She just knew she missed her friend even though they hadnt known eachother very long.

Casidy was just relaying the message that was told to her by the Angel. But she could tell that whatever she has said, took the girl off guard. That didn't matter though. The only thing that mattered was that she had agreed to attend the meeting. This was the first person she asked, and she expected that what she asked would be done. It was an easy enough task. Casidy couldn't think that everyone would understand or agree with her, though, because not everyone was that smart. The girl's question wasn't unusual. People were lost here all the time. When people avoided others, they lost those they were trying to stay with. Whatever happened to Wimpyboy, couldn't have been stopped. He was likely lost. It wouldn't be unexpected. She was told that he had gotten lost the first day he was here, at least that's his story. She couldn't be sure, but knew that he bored her and that she didn't really have a use for him. So she didn't keep up with his whereabouts. "I saw him a while ago, but not lately. He might have been taken back. I heard that something like that was happening. Or maybe the demons in the dark forest got him. I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but you have to think of all possibilities." And the second one was a possibility.

Susan looked completely horrified, her mouth gapeing and her eyes turning wide. She simply stared in shock for several moments until it was quite possible a fly or something could go inside. Then she blinked and once again shook her head.
"Wait, you can die once your already dead?" She scoffed, "No he's around here somewhere, im sure."
She glanced up at the sky and around. "I just need to look in the right place..." She felt sure she could find what she looked for. Little did she know it was her OCD trying to make a plan and purpose in a place where she did not have one.
And once I find him, she thought, then i'll find a way to get out of here.

Casidy knew that the girl would be in complete shock. The blond appeared to be completely confused now that she was in a strange place. If Cas was correct, and she usually was, then this girl was the second or third to arrive. If that was true then Susan should have known where thing where and what was happening. There was no reason for her to be this confused. There must be something wrong with her. An anxiety disorder did that to people sometimes. There were many reasons for her to be acting this odd, but Cas wouldn't comment. She knew how to do this and would not, for any means, interfere with her objective. Clouds littered the sky, trying to usurp the moon. With sheer numbers, and power, the clouds overwhelmed the only light source plunging the two in almost complete darkness. She knew that in this place, it was never truly daytime. There might be an image of the sun in the sky, but that didn't mean that Apollo blessed this place like he did earth. Casidy was sure that this was simply for the Angels who run it. And couldn't help thinking if another angel or higher god would come and realize what was happening. Wasn't anyone missing these lost souls? Bringing her attention back to the blond before her, she smiled. "I don't know if you can die again. But I'm sure that if we can, then there would be a worse place than this, so I'm not planning on figuring it out. " Casidy could tell with that far away look and her almost panicky overt behavior that this girl wanted to leave the island badly. But Casidy knew something that this girl didn't. "There is no way out. Believe me, I tried. I have gone everywhere and done everything. I also figured out some secrets about this place. I will tell them at the meeting. But don't try to escape and end up really dead. I'm sure Sabastian wouldn't like that."

Susan couldnt handle this girl or what she was saying. She ran her hands through the strands of hair at the sides of her face and shiverd again.
"Yeah. You know what. I think im just going to go back to my room now." With that she pushed past the girl, not wanting to think another moment that something bad might have happened to her friend. If she let herself thing that it was very possible she would go completely insane.
Little did she know she already was heading in that direction...

Casidy watched the girl start to walk away. There was an obvious reason that she was freaking out. This girl was afraid of change. That would be a problem which Cas would need to face in the future. This girl needed to commit to this change of idea. The first thing that Susan would need to admit is that she had died. She needed to get over that fact if she was going to accept this future. Casidy shook her head before the girl could go away. Turning, she caught up with her. "No, wait.. you need to come back. If you don't deal with this, you wont be able to live again. I mean. you can't get out of here. But there is a reason that you got this chance at an afterlife, i'm sure.. now use it properly. Please.. just stay and talk. " She said before smiling politely at her.
