Susan looked between the two directions before she heard him and her eyes grew wide as she gasped, "Noo!" Then she stopped, realizing she'd been haisty and acted just on inpulse. It was a completely reasonable thing for him to ask. So she rubbed her forehead slightly and sighed.
"I'm sorry. Yes. That would be fine." She turned to face the wall, putting her hands on the vines, ready for him to hoist her up...

Sabastian heard her yelled answer and stepped back, pulling his hands out of his pockets. He held them up in surrender. “I’m sorry. It wasn’t a good suggestion, I know. I didn’t mean to.. I’m.. I’m sorry..” he said again, taking another step back. He felt bad for making her afraid or suggesting something that would be totally outrageous.
He then saw her calm down a little and change her mind. “No.. I mean, its alright. We can find another way to find out way out.” He realized that it wasn’t the most intelligent thing to say, but he wasn’t good at things like conversations. “I’m sorry,” he seemed to be repeating himself.
He took another step back and tripped over a root in the ground. He fell on his but and laughed nervously. He blushed. Sabastian knew he was making a fool of himself but couldn’t help it.

Still facing the hedge, she looked over her should just in time to see him fall. She looked concerned for a split second before she realized he was fine and she smiled and shook her head a little. Already she could tell this guy wasnt a threat to anybody. She needed to be nicer to him.
"It's okay. Just come help me up. Hopefully this will help us save some time."

Sabastian nodded and got up, wiping his hands again, this time to get the dirt off them. He walked over to her and stood by her. “Just be careful, don’t touch the thorns.” He cautioned. He needed to think of a way to get her over too feet higher than his head. It was an easy enough thing to do. He wasn’t that strong, but then again, she wasn’t that heavy. She was skinny, and it would be easy enough to lift her.
But he really didn’t want to drop her. That didn’t seem like a good thing to do. He took a deep breath. I wont drop her, I wont drop her. He thought in his head before smiling. “Okay..” he said, warning her before putting her hands on her hips and lifting her up, balancing her with his shoulder so that she wouldn’t fall.

She climbed up as high as she could, her hands careful not to touch the thornes. She had to strain to see over the edge, but after a few moments of struggling she managed to peer down the pathway to the left.
"I can see that theres just another dead end that way..." She said, her voice somewhat muffled. Then she turned her head to look to the right when suddenly she saw something flash and something that felt like several little claws smacked across her face. Screaming, she grabbed at her face, letting go of the hedge and falling backwards.
She could see and smell blood, her face stinging. Something had attacked her, she could have sworn it was the thorny vines themselves....

Sabastian held her up while she looked around. It was weird being in contact with someone. But it was a good kind of weird. After she told him there was just another dead end one way, he nodded, though she couldn’t see him. He knew that it wouldn’t be easy for them to just see and then leave. But he didn’t know what was going to happen next.
He heard her scream, and it surprised him. He didn’t know what was happening and soon she let go, falling backwards. It was a good thing that he had good reflexes from playing video games because he caught her. “What happened? Are you alright?” he asked. Slowly he lowered her to the ground, before looking at her face.
He could see blood on her face. He immediately felt guilty and panicked. He took off his shirt quickly and begain wiping the blood way, as gently as he could. “Are you alright? He asked again. “What happened? Why are you bleeding?” he asked, worriedly.

Susans hands were trembling when she took them from her face. Across the bridge of her nose and her cheeks were thin red scratches. She looked at the blood on her hands before looking up at Sebastian in surprise. She flinched slightly when he dabbed at the cuts, but didnt pull back. She was every bit as surprised as he was.
"I dont know." She said turning to look up at the hedge. There was no movement or anything, "It was like the thornes attacked me..." She looked back at him, worried and scared, not really knowing what to do...

Sabastian, still kneeling beside her looked up at the walls too. There was no movement, but he did not doubt her. He could see the evidence on her face. He smiled slightly, trying to reassure her. He knew his smile was wavering but he didn’t know what else to do. “I’m sorry, I never would have suggested it if I knew that would happen.” He told her, continuing to wipe the cuts until the bloodflow seemed to stop.
“Are you alright to walk? If not, we can wait for a while, take a break. It doesn’t hurt too much does it? I’m sorry..” he said again, biting his bottom lip a little. His shirt was covered in blood now, from his cuts, and hers. Tossing it aside, he sighed. “This is harder than I would have thought.” He said quietly, still looking worried.

Upset, but trying not to show is, Susan shook her head and got to her feet. "Lets just find a way out of here." She took his hand without thinking and took the pathway to the right. Her steps were quicker now. Now she wondered if this maze was more alive than it seemed...
Light came into the sky, but it wasnt much of light, making it seem purple and cloudy...

Sabastian stood with her, following her to the right. It seemed like the right thing to do. If the maze didn’t want them looking that way, then it might be the correct way. At least it was better than the dead end. He followed her through the dim light. It must be morning already. The thought helped a little. At least there would be more light. Things didn’t seem as scary in the light.
Sabastian felt the chill in the air and wondered if with the sun, it would get warmer. “So, what’s your favourite colour?” he asked, trying to make conversation. He usually embarrassed himself and said stupid things that didn’t make sense, that’s why he stopped trying to be social a while ago. But this situation called for it.

Susan paused to glance over at him, thinking it a strange question but then figuring he was trying to make the situation less tense and awkward. "Hmm..." She thought, still walking with her hand in his. "I've never really thought about it. I guess I like blue a lot..." She looked at him, trying not to think about how just breathing made the cuts on her face sting, "Whats yours?"

Sabastian sighed. He could see the pain in her eyes when she tried to talk. He bit his lip again. “Um, I guess mine is red.” He told her before looking back at the sky. Was there even a sun here? It didn’t seem like earth to him. Things were different. There were no stars at night. Things seemed to move, and his hands had already healed. That shouldn’t have happened this quickly.
Sabastian wrapped his free arm across his bare chest. It might have been stupid to use his shirt to get the blood off her face, but he didn’t have anything else and it needed to be done. “We don’t need to talk, it will only twist the cuts on your face,” he said reassuringly as he gently squeezed her hand.

Susan gave a small smile and then winced in pain. She followed him, walking along and sighing. She hadnt rested since she'd been there. Was she tired? She didnt think so... or maybe she was. It was hard to tell if she was feeling anything at all. Everything was so strange. Like a dream...

Sabastian kept walking. He turned a few corners, feeling close to the end. The sooner they got out of here the sooner they.. what? He didn’t know. It might be deserted outside of this maze. It might be a desert of some kind. What good would it do to get out of one hell and into another? But on the other hand there could be people, and a place to rest. Maybe someone who could help Susan with the cuts on her face. He didn’t want them to get infected.
As they turned the last corner, Sabastian saw something that he hasn’t seen for a while. There was a stone wall. It seemed farther than the green walls went. Was that outside? Was that a house of some kind? Shelter seemed like a very nice thought. Sabastian smiled and walked a little quicker to the end of the tunnel. “I think we are almost there.”

Susan saw the wall and she could have cried. It was something new, and there was hope with that. Her hand squeezed Sebastians as she looked up at him, glad that she found someone else now.
"Lets not stop then." She hurried forward...
