Casidy watched him intently as he went to the closet. She then noticed what was different. The gauze. It would have made a normal person feel bad that she made him need it, then gave him a hard time about it, but he forced himself into her life, not the other way around. she had a right to be angry. Besides, he asked her to cut him. If she hadn't have, then she would seem soft, and that was one thing she would not let happen. Cas was not soft and if anyone ever suggested it, she would tare their face off with her nails. She watched as he bent down, noticing the look of pain on his face. It served him right trying to be her friend. Casidy didn't like people and didn't want to be friends with any of them. They were all weak. But Caiden didn't look weak as he lifted himself using only his arms. She watched the muscles bunch suggestively and Casidy had to look away to keep her mind on.. well.. whatever it was supposed to be on. Anger, that was right. Casidy just remembered as he stood up and walked towards her. She figured that he was going to leave, but when he didn't, she got suspicious. "What are you doing?" she asked, before she figured it out. He wanted answers from her, of course. He had no right to ask the questions but required them answered nonetheless. She let him speak, then lean close to her, effectively boxing her in. She had no where to look but his eyes. Well, she did, but that would ruin her concentration. Casidy smirked as she thought about what she would say. "Honestly? I wont admit that I like you because I don't. I have no reason to lie about this. You pushed yourself into my life, where I was happy to be alone. You pester and bother until I give up.. and worst of all.. You have no personality. You are acting like a lovesick puppy dog. Yes, you are attractive, you kiss well and you surprise me... but that isn't good enough to make me take a friend.. or anything else. You seem happy to just follow me around and accept whatever I give you. That is a weakness and you will never get ahead if your happy getting scraps. I dislike weaknesses. Comprenda?" She asked him, raising her eyebrows in question. She didn't know if he actually understood that she wasn't attracted to his personality. She just wanted to be able to sleep, and to wake up to what she was used to. She didn't like being confused, and she was by this guy. She should have never gone walking in the woods this afternoon. She had a bad feeling, and she just understood what it meant.

As soon as Casidy was done Caiden tilted his head to the side marveling at her and the way she thought. It was so different from anything he was used to. She seemed totally independent and disapproving of any kind of emotion that could potentially bring her down or make her seem weak. It was understandable since it was a survival skill that few learned and not many should. But even so it was hard to work with. People like that were so stubborn and unmoving. refusing to budge from their point under damn near any circumstance. Oh well. While I do still kinda like her I'm done trying. I don't need this. Pushing off the wall Caiden shrugged. " Whatever. I tried being nice to you. You didn't like it. So I'll just go back to the couch. Have a good sleep. Try not to get stabbed by your own blade." he winked at her and smirked as he went out her door and over to the couch. He had to lower himself slowly and even then the scars still burned. When he got himself onto the couch he gently wrapped the bandage around the gauze he placed on his scars over his chest and worked his way down until it covered his chest and the most of his abs. It felt a little more comfortable to have something soft held against the wounds. It soothed the pain and made it way more bearable. Leaning back against the couch he didn't even barely feel a twinge in his chest or stomach. It was nice. He closed his eyes and ignored the fact that Casidy's door still hadn't shut. She could do what she wanted and he'd do the same. No need for him to fawn after her when she didn't even care but to look at him. All he had gained by his constant attention of her was annoyance from her end so if thats all there was maybe he should move on. He didn't really need anyone in this afterlife of sorts because it was an island so he was sure he could figure it out on his own. Survival wasn't something he was completely unfamiliar with so no worries. He'd make it. And without Casidy there to say that he was annoying her by talking or whatever else he did.

Casidy could feel him breathing on her. The warm air seemed to caress her chilled skin. She managed to hold eye contact even though she could smell his wonderful smell. All she wanted to do was close her eyes and breath him in, but she knew she couldn't. She didn't know what he smelled like, but it seemed to call to her. She licked her lips nervously before he moved away from her. His words ran through her without even connecting with her brain, but then again. she got the message. Watching him walk out, she breathed a sigh of relief. No longer was she trapped. No longer did she had to smell him so close to her. But she kind of felt empty. Shaking of that unwanted thought, Casidy stood there for a moment. This was what she wanted after all, right? Shaking her head to clear it from her betraying thoughts, she closed the door slowly, after seeing that he was already laying on the couch. She was kind of impressed, but at the same time disappointed. She knew that if he would have leaned a little closer and kissed her, she would have had no choice but to kiss him back. and part of her, a betraying part, wanted that. Hell, the other part would have been impressed that he had the balls to do such a thing. But instead, he left. Taking a big breath, Cas moved away from the door, towards her bed. She pulled herself into it and laid over the blankets. They were comfortable, but slightly constricting and at the moment, she just needed to breath. She closed her eyes tightly, she tried to clear her mind of all thoughts. That was the only way she was going to get any sleep. She needed to go into that warm dark place where she used to hide as a girl. The very place that kept her safe while she was sleeping, when she was a teen. She still, in the back of her mind, perceived things and knew if she was in danger. there would always be an instinctive part that watched for that sort of stuff, but at the moment she wanted to be swept away and go to sleep. Yet that wondrous thing kept evading her. The sandman refused to near. Maybe he was fed up with Casidy as well. That would be her luck. She would be punished for being rude. Maybe it was the Angel, trying to piss her off, or make her do something that she normally wouldn't. Cas didn't know, and didn't care, as long as eventually she got an hours sleep. Casidy opened her eyes and looked at the clock. 5 minutes had passed. At this rate, she would only get an hour of sleep at most.

Even though he was set on just letting go and ignoring Casidy there was a part of Caiden that said he was wrong and that he shouldn't give up so easily. It told him that if he could give up so easily then he probably was the wimp he'd been accused of being. It was weird because as he thought to himself he knew that his more assertive side was starting to win out over his chill, take-everything-in-stride self. Don't take no for an answer, Caiden, you have to take what you want and not let people run over you....But it would be rude to just push myself at her...It's what you want though right? Well yeah, of course, but that isn't justification....Yes it is. Don't you deserve to be happy? She could make you happy if you show her that you won't accept no as an answer....I don't know she seems content with being annoyed with me and having me leave her alone....Yeah and she also stares at you when she thinks you're not looking too....I suppose...Yeah that's right! She does look at me...And plus she admitted in the forest she likes me even though she quickly said otherwise. I need to do something...but what? Caiden shook his head at the fact he had just had an argument in his head with himself. Talking to himself must surely be crazy though thats what seemed to happen with these confused feelings. It made you do crazy things. Looking around him Caiden saw that the room he was in basically was the living room and there wasn't really anything that interested himself seeing as how he couldn't sleep. Not with thoughts of Casidy sprinting through his mind and setting off a million fireworks displays inside his head. She was a constant in his thoughts now and it kind of bugged him at the same time as he understood that his infatuation with her would allow nothing less. He came to the conclusion that he would not be able to do anything but think of her and only one thing came to his mind. standing up his stomach barely hurt which normally would have snatched his attention but he barely noticed since only one motive compelled him now. He crossed the floor in a few strides to Casidy's door and quickly opened it. Walking as fast as he could he was soon at the side of her bed. He could see her somewhat clearly even though it was dark in the room and the only light being cast from the living room he had just came from. Before he could hesitate Caiden leaned over the bed, and Casidy, and his lips descended to hers. He brushed them gently across her amazingly soft lips which seemed to fit perfectly into his kiss. It was as if their lips were made to meet each other and embrace one another as long lost lovers finally reunited. His hand slid up to the side of Casidy's face and he caressed her cheek with the palm of his hand as he was finally silent and absent of words. Instead allowing his the lips the pleasure of expressing better how he felt than his verbal explanations had managed. She had said to say how he felt rather than using quotes and now he was showing her as well as telling.

Darkness closed around Casidy, steeling her breath and sight. It seemed to erase her body from the room, removing flesh, bone, blood and clothes. The warm ari form the ceiling fan caressed her bare legs, making her wish that it was cold enough to put the blanket on. she felt so exposed, laying there when someone she barely knew sat just outside her unlocked door. she never through to get a lock on it, thinking that the one outside her dorm door would be enough protection for her. And if she needed more she always had her blades close. But that didn't seem like enough now, now that Caiden was in her dorm. He didn't seem to mind being hurt, actually accepting it. He asked her for it. It never dawned on her before that her weapons would not be enough to keep someone away. He was invading her every defense and there was nothing she could do. She tried not thinking about him, but his scent wafted over her and she could almost see him there, standing over her bed. as creepy as the thought was, she knew it was just her mind playing tricks on her. Not only had he given up on her but he never would have entered her room without her inviting him in. She knew that. At least, she thought she did. Her body stiffened as she felt his lips on hers. Never before had her mind created a fake sensation, but if that wasn't what it was then... Casidy put her hands on his chest, trying to push him away. He had no right to be in her room, no right to kiss her like this when she was trying to sleep. She needed to push him away, yell at him and then skin him maybe. She wanted to move away from him. No, she wanted him to continue to kiss her like this. The feeling of his lips on hers seemed to overwhelm her and pull her into one of those romance books which she accused him of reading earlier. She couldn't help but return the kiss. It was so gentle, but so electric at the same time. She felt like if she stopped kissing him, that she would cease being. His skin was warm beneath her palms, where they rested on his chest, avoiding the X she made earlier. She no longer wanted to push him away, no longer felt that she could. Instead, she ran her hands up to his shoulders, then to the back of his neck so that she could hold him to her. Why had she stopped the kiss before? It was then that Casidy remembered who she was, and who he was. It was true that they were both stuck on this island and had nothing to lose, but she refused to allow this to become like the fake book she explained in the forest. She had no love to give him. Her heart was bronzed so that it could never be hurt or broken. It was kept special so that it only moved blood. She didn't want to feel kindness towards him, or anything more. It used to be just a defense mechanism, but now it was just what it was. And she refused to change for an annoying poet with great lips. Casidy stiffened once more, trying to stop her lips from moving against his. Tried to stop her hands from running through his hair. Tried to stop herself from feeling anything. But in the end, it was a loosing battle. This guy was the only one who had ever gotten the best of her. The only one who could defeat her, with something so little as a kiss. It seemed impossible, but, unfortunately wasn't.

Such a thrill it was for Caiden as he continued the kiss and noticed Casidy return the kiss in full. It encouraged him further as she put her hands first up to his chest, moving around the bandaged scar, and ran her hands over his neck and through his hair. She pulled him in closer and Caiden was more than obliging. His legs lifted off the floor and he now knelt on the bed over Casidy with one hand still supporting himself on the bed and the other straying through her hair and tracing the contours of her jaw and ear. Breaking contact with her lips he lead his lips along her jaw and kissed her neck even more sweetly before resting them every so subtly on her collarbone and pecking it once and then he lifted his head from her. He wanted to say something but couldn't think of what would be fitting and not ruin the mood. He looked into her eyes and they shone with the same emotions running through his own mind: lust, bliss, confusion, and a few others too strong to explain. It was only then that Caiden noticed exactly what she was wearing. Her plaid shirt wasn't completely buttoned up and the shadow in the room played very nicely over her chest at the same time accentuating her short shorts. His eyes were hungry and her body was feeding them. He trailed on hand up the outside of her leg and up her waist until it came back to her face. " You are so beautiful. Have I told you? I know I said it back in the forest but I want to repeat it so that you understand exactly how much the words truly mean when I say them." He smiled on kissed her delicately on her lips once more before releasing the kiss.

The feeling of his fingers running through her hair was marvelous. It was said to be comforting, but she had no idea. She once heard someone say that it was because there were so many nerve endings on the scalp and that when the hair is moved slightly, it reacted with the nerve endings. It didn't matter how or why it felt like this, Casidy was just glad it did. She couldn't help but moan a little at the strange sensation. Never had she had someone touch her hair. She supposed when she was a child that it had to be cut once in a while, but she didn't remember this. She had cut her own hair ever since and therefor never felt like this before. It was a wonder that she could think at all at the moment. But her mind tried to get her to react differently. This guy, who she barely knew, was kneeling over her, kissing her while she was in her bedroom. He had no right to be here, though he was. There would be no way to get to her weapons, but even if she could, she doubted that they would help. His tender kisses and touches were her undoing. This wasn't good. She felt his lips leave hers and opened the eyes that she didn't even know that she had shut. Breathing hard to try to catch her breath and reasoning, Cas held him to her instinctively. She needed to understand why this was wrong. But the thoughts escaped her just like sleep had. There was something she needed to remember. Something she needed to do. Why had she gone into her room without kicking him out first? Why had she let him stay? And let him into her room? It was then that she recognized the numbing feeling that was drifting over her, dousing the flames slightly as he looked up her and spoke softly. It was so comforting, that she couldn't help but smile. She was exhausted and needed sleep badly. She wanted to forget about her need for sleep, but couldn't. It was something that would not give up so easily. And she knew that when she woke up, things would be back to normal. once her emotions were back on track, then she would be able to think clearly. Looking up at him, a soft sigh escaped her. He looked so masculine kneeling over her like that. His hair falling down slightly, as if reaching for her. His eyes haunted with many emotions. The bandages across his chest. They covered the cuts she made. She knew that this wasn't the best position for his cuts and knew that she should be more worried about it, or should be less worried. She couldn't remember anymore. But she kind of felt bad for him. he did deserve it her mind offered. Cas knew that she was right. and knew that he needed as much sleep as she did. Sighing, Cas bit her lower lip slightly. "Caiden, go to sleep. I'm tired.. and I'm sure you are..." She left it at that, not wanting to make promises of talking in the morning, or continue where they left off. She didn't want to tell him that he had to leave, but refused to tell him he could stay. How could one kiss confuse someone this much? She didn't know. All Casidy understood was that she needed to let her mind empty of all thoughts so that she could think again in the morning. At that time, she would figure things out. Hopefully she would be able to by then.

The lusty passion that was rolling over Caiden was exhilarating. It ruled his mind and body but he still had enough control on it to restrain the stronger desires that begged to escape. Looking down at Casidy beneath him he could see her own mind doing cartwheels and it seemed that she was thinking of many things while at the same time mainly him. His actions and taken complete control of her and her will was entirely at his bidding. He kissed her again and then pulled away yet again. Her sigh sent electric currents through his arms and he shivered ever so slightly. She told him he needed to go to sleep but he didn't want to leave her. Not after what had just happened. He wanted to stay by her side. But then again she had rebelled against his attachment. It was a conflicting decision. Should he go back to the couch and have the chance of her being more attracted to him by his indifference? Or should he stay and risk her waking up and being angry that he was there? He wasn't afraid of her and what he wanted was no more than to stay there with her. " I want to stay here. With you....Don't worry I'm not a bed hog." his grin lit up his face partially with joy but also with determination that he should not listen to her if she told him to leave. " I am staying with you. If in the morning you get angry when you realize that I'm in here then so be it but I'm not leaving." Crawling over Casidy he slid under the blanket and rested his head on the pillows. They were so comfortable that he was already having a hard time staying awake. Putting one arm out he pulled Casidy to him so that her head could rest on the groove between his shoulder and chest. It felt right to be so close to her and have her cuddled up to himself. If he never left that spot he wouldn't complain. As much as he liked her he wasn't sure if this would last through the morning but if it did then so be it. Tomorrow was when he would have to find his own room and he was trying to stay awake to put off that happening. If he could keep his eyes open and stop time there would be no hesitation. Yet with most things it was inevitable that he had to leave and he could only accept that and enjoy what he had in the present. Which was Casidy. One of the few girls that had managed to procure a kiss from Caiden and one of the only ones he had started wishing he didn't have to leave. There had been other girls he had liked and they had been content with each other but most had not lasted and he had not wanted to last anyways. In his life he could remember maybe one other girl he had cared enough about to want to be with forever and she had died in a violent car accident 2 years previous. It had caused him to do quite a few things he wasn't proud of. Like attempting to kill himself. Or just plain hurting and punishing his body and mind for losing the girl that had meant everything to him. He death had been the pinnacle of his misery and it had only risen after. Not until a year later had he made himself start trying to move past her death and live with happiness. She would've wanted it so he could give her that at least after his bout of selfish self-harm. Back to Casidy he breathed in the scent of her hair as it was next to his shoulder. So sweet and delicious. Then he kissed the top of her head and said," I don't want this to end. But in the morning I will still like you even if you do not like me. I'll get my things and move them to another room as well."

The night was growing heavy with emotion and fatigue. Casidy didn't like this and didn't want to be stuck in this place where most people were content. Most people slumbered in this feeling of happiness, but this wasn't as good as it appeared. Although the feeling was nice, it could get taken away very quickly. Having feelings towards someone made you weak. They could be used against you very easily. Feeling happy and tired made you make mistakes. It made you less aware. It was bad. This deceptive safe feeling could get someone killed. There was a world of darkness out there that would not be kept out with such an illusion. And it could not keep out Caiden's words. they seemed to pierce through the shield that she erected around herself. She couldn't pretend they didn't exist or stab them with her blade. They were there before her, invading her mind. He was staying in her room. Never before had someone been allowed to. Yes, she had relationships, but her place was protected from their influence. It was a sanctuary that was only hers. No guys allowed, no friends allowed and no parents. When she was a teenager, her place was simply hers. And after that.. she had no place but her own mind. As soon as she found this dorm, she released all her mind into the room, allowing it to be the place it was in her childhood days. This was her place, and it was infested by Caiden, everywhere. She didn't know how this could have happened in such a short time. Casidy looked at him as he crawled over her. "What?" she asked, shocked by his sudden nerve. He hadn't appologized for coming into her room, or kissing her and now she had a feeling that he would fight her to stay in her bed. This was so weird. In the short time that she knew him, she would have to say that this was out of character, but how could she feel like she knew him so quickly? Cas was growing more tired by the minute but had to argue for her space. She couldn't let him think that he had won. "You can't stay here.. in my bed. It's mine. I am a bed hog," she lied, trying to come up with a reason for him to leave the room. She was too tired to physically fight him or throw him out. "I snore... and.. umm.. pee the bed. I usually sleep naked.. so.. you can't stay here.." she told him, as she glared. He didn't seem to mind her though as he pulled her to him. She found herself cuddled up against him, her face against his skin. It felt so warm against her cheek. She couldn't help but take a deep breath. She tried her hardest to stay mad, to tell him to get out of her room. She wanted him out, but he was so comfortable. After a moment of stiffness, she found herself move closer to him, relaxing and closing her eyes. "Fine.. but just for tonight. I'm too tired to fight you. But tomorrow you are going to pay for this. I swear.." her voice drifted off as she started to fall asleep. Tomorrow things would work themseves out. She knew it and needed to believe it. This was the first time she let her guard down around a nother person, and she hoped it would be the last.

With Casidy lying next to him and cuddling up against his body Caiden couldn't be happier. It was going to be a good nights sleep. Even despite that he was sure he and Casidy both were thinking that in the morning she would wake up and things would be back to how they were. It was saddening to think about it but it had to be accepted. The inevitable was that Casidy was going to wake up and see him there, remember what had happened, and be pissed that it had because she wasn't the type to get close to someone. She might let him sleep in but when he was awake it was out the door and into his own room he would go. Though maybe they could at least still hang out if anything at all. He really didn't want someone else as a guide through this place. Plus Casidy was tough enough he wouldn't have to worry about where he went because she wouldn't be afraid like normal people would be. Her protests were falling on deaf ears and he put his index finger up to her lips quietly whispering into her ear," Shhh....peace, sweet Casidy, don't fight it. I'm staying here and that's final. I'll deal with the consequences in the morning. For now just enjoy our night together and hope that it doesn't end here." he kissed her and then lay his head back against the pillows. Looking up at the ceiling he couldn't help but wonder how it would be if in the morning he woke to see Casidy still cuddling against him but not only that but also awake. If she woke and was conscious of the fact that he was there then it would be for the better and he wouldn't have to constantly work for her attentions. That wasn't Casidy though. In the short time he had known her Casidy had unknowingly revealed a lot about herself to Caiden and he knew without a doubt things would not go as he wished in the morning. Worst case scenario he would wake to find a blade against his throat and Casidy's beautiful eyes glaring down at him ready to let the blade slip a few centimeters further. and yelling "HOW DARE YOU SLEEP IN MY BED!!!" thinking of how that would go Caiden chuckled silently but winced as the pain in his chest came to the forefront of his mind and actually caused a flash of searing agony to ripple through his frame. " Goodnight, Casidy, please don't hate me in the morning..." his eyes fluttered once and he was out. The world of dreams eluding him but a blissful darkness enveloping his mind and giving him rest the like of which he had long since forgotten was possible.

Sunbeams streamed through the small window, consuming all that was within it's reaches. It ripped through the shadows that had taken up resistance in the small room. It seemed that Apollo was no longer content to stay away and let his sister Artemis play. He would no longer allow those in the small room to sleep. A beam of light crept across the floor towards the large comfortable bed. It had a clear destination and would not be stopped by the sheer curtains. Finally, reaching it's target, it persisted until the objective was woken. Casidy growled to herself, seeing the bright light turn pink through her eyelids. It couldn't be morning already. Cas would prefer to sleep well into the afternoon and often did. Moving her head, she tried to escape the sunlight, however that seemed impossible. But as she attempted to create personal darkness, her awareness caught on to some slight differences in her surroundings. She was sleeping on her left side, for one, when she usually preferred the right so that the sun couldn't blind her. The next thing she noticed was the warmth on that side of her body. It wasn't the usual warmth that came from the sun, this was much different, much better. As she turned her face, she noticed that under her head was not the soft pillows she normally used. Instead it felt like skin. She just figured that she was sleeping on her arm until she noticed the distinct smell which brought back most of her memories from last night. Then was the sound of breathing that didn't seem to belong to her, and the heartbeat she felt under her hand. Something was wrong, and she knew it. Opening her eyes, everything came back. Caiden going back into her room. Her cutting Caiden's chest. Caiden needing bandages. Caiden going into her bed room, kissing her, refusing to leave, climbing over her, pulling her to him...Casidy saying that he could stay but would pay for it in the morning. Now it was morning and she didn't know what to do. Obviously hurting him hadn't worked as she planned. Obviously she couldn't scare him away. Obviously she was in major trouble. Casidy jolted upright in the bed, looking around for a weapon. Once finding where she usually kept them, Casidy grabbed a knife and straddled his waste. Growling, she pressed the weapon to his neck. "Wake up, sleepy head" she said in her most innocent voice. She didn't want him to get startled and hit the knife on accident. What would be the fun in that? She wanted to make it clear to him who was in charge.
