A month passed since Casidy died and went to what could only be determined as a personal hell. There were hardly any people here to manipulate or use, and there was no way to get off of the stupid island. Or so she had been told by the Angel of Death. But of course, Casidy wouldn't ever take anyone's word on it. There had to be a way to get back to her gang life. It had been interesting and she loved the feeling she got from it. People underestimated her, due to her looks. They thought that she was nice, shy, or incompetent because she was a female- that's the one she liked the best. They didn't know what she could do, or how she rose to the top of the gang. Most people assumed she slept her way to the stop, but she was smart, cunning and very observant. She was hoping the latter would help her now. She left the grounds of the castle just as the sun was setting over the tall empty trees. The leaves refused to stay attached to the cursed limbs as the wind moaned through the forest. Most people would feel fear and escape this haunted and abandoned place, but Casidy reveled in the excitement. The idiots in the castle were to afraid to venture into this damned place, but Casidy was determined to either find a way out, or some excitement. The castle had become boring with it's intrusive blond freak, and the wimpy boy.. and of course that silly little girl who followed him around thinking he was into girls. That was laughable. With no one new here, it was becoming unbearable. Luckily, tonight, she was exploring. There were no sounds of animals, or little bugs singing to the lovely full moon. There was nothing except the sound of the wind and everything it dominated. Tonight was the perfect night for some fun, if only she could find it, or it could find her.

What the hell is going on? This was the first thought running through Caiden's head as he walked hesitantly through the forest that surrounded him in palpable darkness. Every shadow clung to his sight and he had a hard time discerning what was what in this desolate world of trees and shadow.
He had been brought hear by a man claiming to be the 'Angel of Death' told that he had been killed and was being given a second chance with life on an island from which he could not leave. It was quite obviously hard to grasp that he had died yet was somehow miraculously alive again and he still could not wrap his mind around it.
Bringing himself back to his surroundings Caiden noticed that his sight was slowly sharpening and allowing him a somewhat better sight of what he was walking through. The leaves scattered in clusters along the forest floor and the trees rose to frightening heights like silent sentinels guarding against chaos beneath their boughs. All in all it was a somewhat creepy setting that didn't help the fact that he really had no idea where he was or what he was supposed to do. All he could do was keep walking and hope that maybe he came across someone and that the someone in question wasn't going to try and kill him.
Sighing Caiden kept up his steady but relaxing pace with hands in pockets. It was luck that was on his side that the night was not particularly chilly so his black v-neck tee was all he needed along with his fitting skinnies on. He shook his hair to one side and out of his face so that he could see better. Turning around one large oak tree he was now in a small clearing that seemed peaceful enough and which was also lit up beautifully by the full moons' pearly glow. " Might as well just lay down for a bit. Not like I'm going to find anybody or thing anytime soon." his mutterings drifted into the air and floated away, falling on nonexistent ears but helping his nerves to speak aloud anyways. He paced to the center of the clearing and plopped down, crossing his extended legs one over the other and supporting himself by placing his arms on the ground behind him. Eyes closed and breathing calm and soothing he relaxed and felt for the first time that night peaceful.

The moon almost watched from her dark satin stage within the starless night. She smiled early at the wind who was a goddess in her own right. Together, the twin demoness' created an frightening backdrop for the seemingly endless night. The wind carried whispers of destruction as she whipped Casidy's hair around her pale face. Her dark green eyes seemed to glow magically in the moons light. The beams caressed the dark red corseted shirt that clung to the human's petite frame. Her jeans were ripped artfully but didn't cost the designer price, no.. these were from her rough life. Just as Casidy was begining to think that this was a waste of a beautifully terrible night, a voice caught her attention. It was brought to her by the wind, as if it was an offering from the goddess. The voice was distinctly male. She wasn't alone out here, and this was someone new, she could tell. Anticipation rose up in her blood, fueling her wicked intent. Finally, entertainment was here. Finally, something would happen. As she approached the clearing, which surrounded the shadowed figure, Casidy smirked, her white teeth a flash in the darkness. She wasn't evil, she just took pleasure out of other people's misery. Well, that wasn't entirely true. But she was always attracted to danger and the forbidden and was often told as a child that she should be nice to others. She obviously took that to heart, not. She suppressed a small giggle as she looked upon what would be her fun for tonight. She couldn't see much of him, but that was alright. She didn't want to mess with him, just his mind. "Think again, baby.." she whispered back, loud enough for him to hear. The moon caressed her once more as she stepped out into the clearing with him, an innocent smile carved by her lips. She always liked to be underestimated. It made the game funner. "Welcome.."

Words sprung from the night as arrows from a taught bow and snapped with the same force into Caidens' ears from the lack of sound he had started getting accustomed to. His eyes flew through the clearing until he spotted the feminine voice's creator. A surprisingly beautiful girl was now in the clearing and staring at him with an intense gaze. Caiden jumped to his feet and took a small step toward the woman. "I said I wouldn't find anyone soon yet here before my eyes stands a beauty that could make roses wilt. Green eyes to make an emerald jealous by the beautiful sheen of their fluorescence." he smiled and held out his hand in a gesture of kindness. " My name is Caiden Marth. And you surely must be Aphrodite for beauty so glorious surely can be held surely by no less than a goddess."
Caiden couldn't help but to relapse into his poetic nature. His blood itself carried the poetry throughout his entire body. His every breath held a poem ready to be shaped and given birth. His own green eyes gazed eagerly at the female before him whom he felt a pull towards. Her presence urged him to create a poem to describe his feelings. While it was true he was seemingly infatuated with her he also was on his guard. He couldn't trust her right away because first off he didn't know her and second situations like this usually turned out bad. The fact that she had just walked out of the forest as if she had been there the whole time unnerved him. His biceps instinctively flexed. He was by far not the bulkiest man but his tone was unquestionable. With having practiced any martial arts he could for how many years he had built a decent amount of muscle that definitely helped him out.

((awee, adorable <3))
The moon continued to bear witness to this unique play of events, as she banished the clouds-which could possible obstruct her view. The wind, even, quieted for this exchange of words. Casidy didn't know who else could possibly be watching in the darkness, but none of that seemed to matter. This is what she did best, and she only ever cared about herself. It helped her survive this long, well... until she died. Observing the newcomer was the first thing that was required of her. He was attractive, which only made this funner. He had nice eyes which shinned with intelligence, a mirror of her own. His clothing might have made him appear feminine, however with his build it only helped improve his masculinity. But nothing compared to his words, which were liquid beauty as rich as chocolate and as fresh as a strawberry. Casidy couldn't help thanking her mind that the analogy didn't relate to blood. Casidy could see the attraction in his eyes, as was reflected often in so many she met. She was not vain, but would admit her beauty only because it helped her deceive people so easily. When guys were attracted to her they thought with their.. uh.. lower head, so to speak. His words were lovely, but probably his own form of deception. She knew that emotions played a part in weakness and often used that to her advantage. No doubt this guy was thinking the same thing. Cas knew she would need to pay closer attention, this time, to the little things. In an instant, she noticed the weariness he felt about her. That was completely understandable, because they were standing in silence, across a clearing, somewhat resembling a standoff. Carefully, to still appear natural, Casidy held her arms down straight in front of her, entwining her fingers in a display of innocence and timidness. A shy smile appeared on her face, as her eyes widened slightly as well. "I didn't mean to startle you... I was just.. kind of.. lost. I came from the castle but couldn't find my way back to it. I've never seen you before, so i thought I would welcome you. I'm Casidy," She told him, hoping that he wasn't from NYC and had seen her 'wanted' posters or any articles on her. They always mentioned her when talking about crimes in New york, it was annoying to have so many people in one city know your face. Casidy carefully moved herself closer to him, biting her lip in hesitation. She had never taken a psychology class, or drama for that matter, but after many years of watching people interact, she got good at imitating whatever character she was playing at the moment, and this one she used often. She could only hope that he was ignorant to her real nature.

Such innocence...just a few minutes ago she was whispering to me and saying baby. She is making a show now of false innocence...too much effort into lying. I might have believed her if she didn't jump straight into what seems like a really well practiced act. Hah! I'll go along with it for now. Maybe she isn't really a bad person... His pearly teeth revealed more of themselves as his grin widened. " oh no harm done. I suppose you did startle me but not for the reasons you might think. It's more so that I'm somewhat confused as to where i'm at and how I got here. That supposed 'Angel of Death' said something about giving me another chance at life but if it's here I don't rightly see that I've been given a good place to start my supposed second life." his arm fell to his side denied the embrace of the girls' hand.
Caiden was still reeling from her beauty. Surely such a beautiful girl couldn't be much harm but nonetheless he couldn't relax until he was certain. Anything was possible and deception wasn't a great way to gain his trust obviously. His legs still being somewhat tired he sat back on the ground and just lay on his back to gaze up at the moon. It surely looked to be the same great thing as it had been before he died. Maybe he truly was alive again. If so then he was glad that coming back he was in such a spot as to relax and just stare at the moon as long as he pleased.

Casidy watched as understanding dawned in Caiden's gaze. Surely he thought the change was too drastic, but she couldn't help her original actions. This place, as weird as it seemed, brought out the preditor in her. It seemed like with death, what little morals Casidy had burned with the train. One might assume that she died on contact, but her fate had been worse than that. The train didn't really hit her, as much as see her, derail and then fall on her, go up in flames, steeling her life slowly. What a lovely thought. Casidy couldn't blame Caiden for his lack of trust. Even if she had been the type to trust others, she would be more reserved. But this was her territory now. She had gotten used to it here, not to mention that the landscape seemed to escape from her dreams, nightmares- life. He might not want to trust her, but she knew he would have to eventually. He didn't know anyone and she was his only source of information. That was comforting. Casidy listened carefully, and took a moment to think of her response. While doing this, she watched his arm drop back. A handshake was often used as a symbol of friendship or neutrality. It meant that they were on equal ground and it was a fair fight, but this would be anything but fair. Offering a polite apologetic smile, Casidy moved closer still. Caiden seemed relaxed in his surroundings, sitting back down and taking his attention from her. It was a bold move, however she understood it well. What could a slim girl do to a guy anyways? The answer to that question was a lot.
"Well, sorry. I heard you.. and.. I was afraid to approach you. The Angel said not to come out there that there would be demons..He is a scary.. um.. angel. I don't know if he is good or bad, but what he said seems to be true. I remember dying and then seeing him. He brought me here, into the Castle and told me that I was to live there. I was the first to arrive and you seem to be the latest. I was just glad I wasn't all alone. Even though the angel said not to look, I couldn't help hoping there was a way out. It was daylight when I came in here...but when it got darker.. everything, um.. changed.." Casidy bit her bottom lip, passing a worried look between Caiden and the dark trees that seemed to surround them. "I know this all sounds crazy, but I think it's real.." she told him, a shiver running down her spine. The shiver appeared to be from fright, however it was from excitement. She carefully masked her face, keeping up her appearance.

Breaking his fascination with the moon Caiden glanced over at Casidy while she talked and listened to her speaking. He couldn't just keep going along with this ploy. He could tell the truth of some of the thing she said but the timid persona was clearly not her. Deciding that he was set on it he looked back at the moon and then closed his eyes once more. " You know just because I'm a guy doesn't make me innately slow in the intellectual department." for emphasis and to be sarcastic he looked at her and tapped the side of his temple. " You know...the place up here?" he grinned and then returned to closing his eyes yet his smirk remained. " I'm willing to trust you of course but lying me doesn't make me all too accepting of the fact that I basically need you since I don't know this place. I'm sure you've already thought of that tidbit? It's obvious I can't get around here without help. You would be that help. If you don't actually care to help me that's fine too. It's not too hard to stand and walk. If I walk far enough I'm bound to run into something." Cracking open one eye he stared at Casidy and asked," So what do you say? Want to be my self-proclaimed 'guide'? Or would it cost me something to bargain your help from you?" It was hard to stop the grin spreading to even wider. He was sure his assessment of her was fairly accurate and therefore he felt comfortable asking.

Casidy new she was good. She had been doing this a long time and it always worked, until now. She could tell before Caiden finished speaking, what he was going to say. He was intelligent, and that was intriguing. Casidy couldn't help her smile. All the idiots here were wearing on her and she was glad to meet someone who would put up a challenge, she always liked challenges. Losing her act, Casidy shrugged. She would drop the innocent persona, but would not let on exactly how dangerous she was. He didn't need to know that yet. "Fine. I'll drop it. Congrats, your smarter I took you for." she said giving him an honest smile. "I was bored and the people here are really annoying. Lets start over, oh.. and everything i said about this place is true.. by the way." Casidy feline stretch was accompanied by a crack of her neck. After loosening up she moved closer to Caiden. "I'm Casidy, was hit by a train. I don't do the whole touching thing... so I wont shake your hand. and you might want to ask one of the others to be your guide.. like Love-Sick-Girl, she'll soon realize Wimpy-Boy is gay anyways," Casidy couldn't help but laugh at the thought. The Angel of Death picked well, she supposed.

Caiden sighed and sat up. " Well if I wanted one of the other people I would most likely be leaving by now to try and find them. However as it is I sit her rooted before you and determined that it should be you. Why would I ask for an imbecile to guide me when a perfectly intelligent someone stands before me?" it seemed like they were wasting a bunch of time there in the clearing but thinking on it he couldn't think of what else he would be doing. He didn't know where he was or what he was supposed to do so he might as well chat with Casidy and potentially convince her to lead him around. There seemed like there was still more to her than she let on but he could expect no less than her to be a little reserved with a perfect stranger. After all that's what he was to her and she to him. " And i was shot by a gang. Pumped full of lead as some would say. Ironically I was shot through the very mouth from which these words spew forth like water from a fountain. They seemed intent upon shutting my mouth and poetry away because it was 'weak'. Not gonna lie though I went out with a bang hehehe....literally you could say. But before I was shot I had my turn at them. Suppose thats why they pulled the gun. Took four of them to hold me down on my knees with my arms behind my back. If I remember correctly though I took down a few so that was nice." he grinned sardonically and wondered over his death. It felt like he was bragging but in reality he had cut away a lot of the details.

Casidy watched him lounge on the grass, reciting lines in better english than she had ever heard. Cas had dropped out of school and therefore wasn't very good at English, but she could take on any role she wanted. One didn't need to have an expert knowledge of a certain subject matter to be able to convince people that they do. At that thought, Casidy couldn't help but wonder if that was what this boy was doing. Was he who he said he was? Did he died how he said? Who knew? And that was the reason that the girl knew she needed to keep her distance. She couldn't make herself vulnerable to him, or anyone. She always needed the upper hand. It was too easy to take advantage of an undereducated, homeless petite female. Even thought she was cunning and smart, Casidy knew that the tables could easily turn. They had once been the other way. It wasn't a tragic story of rape or abuse. But she disliked being the lackey in the gang because she was female. She was expected to do girl things and keep the men happy. Fuck that! She taught them what she knew knew of anatomy, and castrated them...correctly. They didn't try to fuck with her again. "Yeah.. don't want to have run in with gangs, I hear they are a bitch. They have so many people and they usually have weapons.. medium-upper class guys like you should stick to your suburbs.. Leave the danger to those who have no choice but to deal with it." She told him, purposely creating a double meaning. From what she said, one would most likely assume that she was from a lower class family and had a bad run in with gangs as well, where she was the victim, well... part of it was right. "Fine.. if you want to know where the castle is, follow me.. I'm heading that way anyways. The suns probably up by now.. oh.. and it never shines in the forest.. I entered it once a little before.. and the moon is always out.. don't ask me why.. but the angels like it like that.." After shrugging, Casidy turned on her heal, purposely putting her back to him, and walked back in the direction she came from. Her stride was smooth and even, like lioness, or jaguar. Even though she wasn't that educated, she would never let anyone call her trailer-trash, well.. not and live to tell about it.

" Ah Casidy you do me justice by comparing me to the upper class. I suppose it would be my fancy wording that gives off that impression of wealth and a good education. No no I'm just an average guy who got an average education. I went to public school like anyone else and learned the same general curriculum. I've just always had a calling for writing and reading. I educated myself so-to-speak. I read a huge variety of books and wrote a lot. Plus I just have fun with words. To give the impression of superiority through intellect often can take a person places. Just by speaking I could convince the richest of people that they were not all that wealthy compared to myself. It's amusing to say the least But look here I'm just chatting your ear off aren't I? So sorry. Please...lead away to said castle and I shall follow quite willingly." He laughed jovially and took off after her as she was already walking away. The trees loomed up before him as he entered back into the thick of the forest. It was hard to get used to a darkness that refused to leave and while it did unnerve Caiden he was sure Casidy knew her way around enough to lead him right with little chance of unexpected creatures crossing their paths. Her words had struck him as slightly odd. She didn't give off the impression that she said many things without a reason behind them and her knowledge of gangs as mediocre as it had sounded was slightly disturbing because it wasn't like many people just knew how a gang ran. Her show of having her back to him and walking off with indifference as to if he would follow also seemed meaningful. As if to say she wasn't afraid to turn her back to what could be considered a potential threat. She didn't know him and he could effortlessly attack. That didn't seem like a good idea anyways. Firstly because he didn't know her and her knowledge of a gang might hint at a knowledge also at fighting. Secondly he had no inclination whatsoever to attack a person he didn't feel the slightest motivation to. " So just out of curiosity how do you know about gangs? Personal experiences of one sort or the other?" so yeah maybe on a subtle level he was implying that he suspected her of being involved with one but there couldn't be any harm there could there? She's smart enough she most likely knows that I suspect her and she'll come up with a clever way to cover it up. Unless she thinks I would expect that and just admits right up front. Either way she must know any way she answers it can only add more suspicion, not that she cares, but it may seem as if it would cause tension. Now I'm just rambling to myself trying to be all detective-like hah! Pull yourself together Caiden.

Caiden's words drifted through the darkness, making their way to her even though she had started walking away from him. Surprisingly, he seemed alright with the thought of dying. That was different from anyone else in the Castle. Most of the people that were put here freaked out after learning of their death, as if it had been a terrible dream. Casidy, on the other hand, had accepted it willingly. She knew she would die one of these days and would rather be here, then in the burning fired down below. She wasn't religious, but, obviously, that seemed like the worst case scenario, and Cas always planned for both the best and worst. thats what good leaders did. Casidy rolled her eyes as he seemed to understand that he talked a lot. She guessed that could be from many things, his nervousness to be here. His distrust of her. Or his hidden terror of dying. Whatever it was, she hoped he wasn't normally like this, it was like having a two year old, and Cas never liked kids. "No wonder they shot you.." she whispered, overly loudly, knowing that he could probably hear her if he was close enough. She continued the same pace, so he could possibly catch up. He kind of reminded her of one of the men that had been part of the original gang she was in. He was nice, thought the best of people, and talked non-stop. It had annoyed Chuck, the leader and her 'boyfriend', endlessly. The kid didn't have a name, they just always called him Kid. Everyone in the gang had a purpose and his was to distract people. Casidy had that job sometimes too, depending on who needed distracting. but Casidy was hadly considered a member and more thought of as property. That didn't bother her as much then as it did now. She had thought that Chuck loved her and that it was good to be out on her own, but her every movement and thought had to be approved of by him. But by watching him, she learned a lot more then they had expected. And in the end, that animal, Chuck, was no match for the little teen. He was humiliated and in severe pain. She remembered their last conversation as if it happened yesterday. Chuck had been screaming in pain, scaring Boy away. Then he looked at her, his eyes ablaze with hate. "I thought you loved me, you wanted me.." he pleaded as if it would give him his manhood back. But Casidy just smiled and shook her head. "Sorry," she started, not sorry at all. "But I'm not into bestiality." she laughed, walking away and taking his gang with her. But Boy didn't follow, trying to help Chuck to the hospital. Boy ended up dying after being shot by a rival gang leader, who was trying to shoot Chuck. Poor kid. Casidy thought before shaking off the thought. She didn't like feeling sorry, or anything towards anyone else. After being lost in her thoughts, the sound of Caiden's voice brought her back to the present. His questions went with her thoughts and for a moment she was afraid that he could read her mind. The Angel of Death had to make this place more interesting, and maybe it would be more interesting for someone to have powers? She didn't know but the thought was troubling. Carefully, she shrugged, watching where her feet were going. She didn't want to trip on a twig, but also didn't want to meet his eyes, just in case. "everyone in my part of town knew about gangs.. and I learned enough to keep me alive, in the end it wasn't a gang that killed me, so I guess I succeeded. Besides, what does it matter now. We are dead.. Our lives mean nothing now.. " she said, but then got curious. She didn't really want to know about him, but wondered where he lived, and what gang shot him. She knew many people from gangs and people who went to other gangs around the country.. it would be interesting.. NO! she couldn't let herself think like that. People aren't interesting and this one was no different. He was attractive, yes, but that meant little. Casidy picked up her pace, wanting to get to the castle so they would go their different ways sooner.

So maybe it was a little uncalled for of him to accuse her in a sense. But at least he didn't come right out and say ' Hey I think you were in a gang. Am I right?' That would just be plain rude. No, Caiden had more class than that and manners to boot. " That would make sense. Gotta know what you need to watch out for. I've heard gangs are a shady lot to be around." Noticing that she was spacing out he quieted down a little. He wouldn't interrupt her thoughts. He knew what is what like to space out and wander amongst his thoughts. It wasn't a time that should be disturbed by the petty words of one who was rambling on about nothing in particular. Once she had finished though he listened as she said they were dead and their lives meant nothing. " C'mon obviously our lives mean something if we're here of all places. You even said that we were given a second chance at life so we must be alive of course. I dunno anything but that I'm glad I came to have you find me."

Images rose in Casidy's mind, her life and everything she had done. If it had mattered, then this was hell, but this guy didn't seem to have done anything to deserve this place. It was kind of annoying. It reminded her of the latest Addams family movie. Wednesday makes a friend in a wimpy boy who would do anything for her affections. After Uncle fester becomes a slave to a woman who he claims to love as well, he is brought home and the woman is buried. The boy then says, "I feel sorry for her" After seeing that Wednesday doesn't agree, he asks, "Would you be happy if a guy would do anything for you?" And Wednesday shook her head and said, "I would pity him." And it was true. If someone didn't have the spine to stand up for themselves, would do anything, then they didn't deserve the love they might receive in return. Why did this come to mind? Because she associated kindness with vulnerability. If you held something dear, it could be used against you. If you had morals, and wouldn't do anything to save yourself, then you would be dead. Caiden seemed to radiate those softer emotions and they almost sickened Casidy. He got what he deserved. Maybe it was a little harsh. And maybe she shouldn't be jumping to conclusions about his strength, but it was hard not to. He got himself killed. Casidy stopped quickly, facing the person in question. Her sneer perfectly in place. "We are here because some angels got bored and decided that they would take souls and put them on a rock and watch them do funny things. We mean nothing to them, and we meant nothing to any other angels. Because we are here, our lives meant nothing. Think about it. You probably was a good little boy, not doing anything wrong.. why did you end up the same place I did? Obviously not for some reward. How do you know we are 'alive'? just because the angel said so? He is the angel of death not the angel of life. We are stuck here now. Nothing else matters. What we were is nothing, because we can't go back to it. Think about it.." Casidy turned back around to face their destination, taking a few short, quick strides before coming up short and facing him again. "Another thing, how the fuck did you manage to live to.. what ever age you are. Clearly you don't have any darker emotions then what you have shown. You have no survival instincts. Your only defense is that you have some muscle, obviously, and probably can talk your way out of stuff. Your looks don't hurt either, but besides that.. you must have been sheltered your whole life. "Fuck, you are weak. Your a pitiful tape worm- a parasite with no back bone. You were willing to trust me to take you to the castle, after you were murdered.. You are in a dark place, fucker, and you didn't think that maybe, just maybe you should be a little on guard. What does that say to you? Gah! You are such an idiot and I can't keep playing you like the fool you are. You should be put down before you harm yourself any further. People like you should be killed at birth, Fuck! Just get out of my site before I put you out of your misery!" Casidy's words were burning with anger and disgust. She couldn't help but say it because it was true. She thought he would be interesting to play, but it was too easy. It was terrible, like kicking a puppy while it was down. She just couldn't do it anymore. Casidy turned and began to stride off into the darkness again, not caring which way she was going. she knew how to find her way back anyways, she wasn't going to get lost.
